Mahamudra Centre for Universal Unity
Another member of the Foundation for the Preservation of the
Mahayana Tradition. The page in this series on Dorje Chang Institute
has more information about the world wide organisation.
This centre is about 4 hours drive from Auckland City, and so things
take a bit longer to get done. The director, Roy Fraser, has done
most of the work, amoungst many other activities. I went down for a
couple of energy inputs, the throne and the bumpa, so that's all I
have photos of.
That's Roy with the vacum cleaner, after we'd done all the throne boxing (just before pouring) You can see how the room underneath is partially buried in the ground |

A close up of the throne steel. That's Roy watching the child. The formwork to the right is for a cavity in the throne that sometimes contains a shrine and or various items of significance. There are (considerably ) more details in the pages for Karma Choeling |

This was carved by a visiting artist, who is (obviously) highly skilled. In fact, I am so impressed with this door, here's a couple of close ups of it: |

What a neat photo (thanks Alice!) Lama Zopa with his stupa builder, Roy, an older and wiser man..... |
